A beautiful forest road will lead us to Agros Village. Here, we will visit a well-known local sweets workshop, where you will see how the traditional Cypriot sweets and jams are made. Thereafter, we will visit The Rose Factory, where excellent rose water and organic beauty products are made using traditional Cypriot methods.
Our journey will continue to the Solea Valley, where we will visit the Church of Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis. It is one of the ten Painted Churches in the Troodos Region, included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This outstanding monument, richly decorated with murals and important examples of the 11th century iconography, provides an overview of Byzantine and post-Byzantine painting in Cyprus.
Next we shall stop at the picturesque village of Kakopetria, where you will have some free time to relax, walk through the beautiful narrow streets and have home cooked lunch at one of the village restaurants.
Continuing our trip, we will drive through magnificent pinewoods to the highest waterfall in Cyprus, Millomeri Waterfalls. And finally, we will visit a local village winery to taste a variety of locally produced wines, including “Commandaria”, the oldest named wine in the world.
